I began X-traordinary Talk! on July 1, 1993, with the idea that erotic talk on audio cassette might offer a discreet, personal, inexpensive alternative to other sexual outlets. In writing scenarios for these cassettes, I quickly discovered that my sexual interests lay outside of throbbing manhood, jiggling tits, and wet pussies. So I (shyly) started writing about my own sexuality.

Two things immediately happened. The first is that sales went up. The second was that I got feedback, a lot of feedback. Through your feedback, I found my home.

Since then, I’ve refined in my own mind just what it is that is sexy to me. It’s the tease of sexuality—the delicious, delectable, delightful, holding out of a sexual gift, and then withholding my lover’s release until it’s almost too exquisite to bear . . . It’s the seduction brought about with an arched eyebrow, a gleam in the eye, the “accidental” show of a stocking top, a tone of voice, and an imagination.

Well, this is what I do . . . Society calls this soft female domination. That’s as good a term as any, although limiting. Suffice it to say that I embrace all loving expressions of consensual sexuality played out in the bedroom. It’s “mind” sex that I crave and crave to express . . . .and, in my opinion, it requires a mutual understanding. A mutual acceptance. A mutual respect. And an embrace of who you are sexually and who I am sexually for both your and my pleasure and satisfaction.

My love of fantasy included my love of the fantasizer. In fact, I have grown to love getting to know you—and what makes you tick (if that can ever be truly known)—even more than I love writing fantasy.

To learn more about sexuality—yours and mine, vanilla and kinky, and a lot more—I earned my Ph.D. in human sexuality in 2003. My dissertation focused on the concept of tease, which is a sexual dynamic that enacting fantasy brought out in me.
